ABOUT

My name is Susan Tiiihonen. I am a Interdisciplinary Artist and Designer, with a special focus on equity and social justice.

Since 2010, I have been creating art and media for social change by working with clients such as anti-violence coalitions, shelters, post secondary institutions, educators, hospitals, grassroots collectives and individual people who have a message they want to share.

Being a queer, disabled, neurodivergent artist has allowed me to understand and explain the nuances of systemic and social barriers, in accessible and creative ways. With an intersectional feminist lens sitting at the heart of each project, I'm grateful to have the privilege to amplify important messages.

Please check out my Production and Design page for more information about the types of projects I do or visit my online store.

The media arts play a huge role in how we see ourselves and the world around us. They have a way of moving us past facts and stats, to a place of intrinsic understanding. They are an accessible and energizing way to share information and this is why I love my work so much.
